LOVED TO DEATH

Loved to Death was started in 2008 and are a San Francisco based couple that have taken their love for the macabre and taxidermy to an entirely different level. They started out as an art endeavor making Victorian themed anthropomorphic taxidermy dioramas in 2008 (before THAT movie J). They then evolved into creating a line of taxidermy jewelry and accessories, which they like to call “Taxidermy Memento Mori.” They see the pieces they create as a memorial to the animals that have passed. Much like the Victorians before us Loved to Death choose to take the time to honor the living soul that has passed by making mementos out of their dainty and precious remains. The taxidermy dioramas were the beginning of Loved To Death in 2008. Creating highly detailed and elaborately decorated homes for these taxidermy pieces to live in forever is their specialty. From serial killer Squirrels, to partying  mice, Loved To Death never disappoints with their witty take on what the perfect setting is for each piece. Their painstaking attention to detail and quality of the craftsmanship of the actual boxes they custom make speaks for themselves.

 Every one of the animals that are used in their jewelry/accessories line and their artwork are acquired from ethical sources that are providing them with recycled parts from animals that would otherwise just go to waste. Loved to Death have chosen to memorialize these animals rather than to let them go casually discarded. All parts that we use have been professionally preserved and will stand that test of time with proper care.
